It's not surprising that there's a vigorous market for condominiums in the Charlottesville area. Between the demand for off-campus housing created by students at the University of Virginia (many of whom come from families that can afford a bit of luxury) and the growth in recent years by those choosing Charlottesville as a retirement destination, condo living has become a popular alternative to the very expensive single-family home market.
