Loudon County lies on the far western edge of the Virginia suburbs that can be considered within a "reasonable" commute of the areas inside the DC beltway. Growth in home building has been explosive in Loudon, with a resulting battle over the future of the more rural portions of the county. Still, lots of very nice places to call home.
